Plan your dream maternity leave and experience the joy of missing out (without the worry of missing a meeting)

OOO is an in-depth, personalized approach designed specifically for high-achieving women who are balancing both career progression and the transition into motherhood.

Out of Office is a maternity leave planning service designed for high-achieving women just like you who want to experience the joy of missing out. I’ve created this service to help you:

Feel fully prepared for the transition onto maternity leave.

Minimize disruptions to your career.

Focus on what truly matters—your baby and your well-being.

The only responsibilities you should be sweatin’ are napping and feeding.

Feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed about maternity leave? Or maybe, some crazy combination of all three? You’re not alone. Nearly every mom-to-be I work with has experienced that exact feeling– and I have, too!

It’s no secret that maternity leave is a major life transition. Balancing a successful career and preparing for a new baby at the same time can feel really scary.

Maternity leave shouldn’t feel like a burden or a mystery—it should be a time of joy, bonding, and confidence. But that only happens when you have the right plan in place.

That’s where Out of Office comes in. Together, we’ll navigate the transition so you can focus on what really matters: your new chapter as a mother.

PEACE OF MIND + EMOTIONAL SUPPORT + A CLEAR ROADMAP

But Out of Office isn’t just about planning your leave.

It’s about providing you with peace of mind, emotional support, and a clear roadmap for your transition into motherhood and back into your career. Having a plan in place can save you from last-minute stress, missed opportunities, and that icky FOMO feeling.

HEY, I’M MOLLY

I’m Basically A Travel Agent… but for Maternity Leave Planning.

Imagine your idea of a picture-perfect trip. A trip where everything is planned and you don’t have to worry about a single thing. Where your accommodations, travel, and reservations are already tended to and taken care of, so you don’t even have to lift a finger.

I mean… What a dream, right?

That’s what Out of Office feels like, only in this case, the all-inclusive trip is your well-planned maternity leave.

Maternity leave is definitely not a vacation - but it is the start of the trip of a lifetime.

After working with hundreds of new moms, I noticed something: maternity leave can feel uncertain and overwhelming. With Out of Office, we’ll work together through 1:1 sessions to:

✽ ASSESS your specific needs with the Parental Leave Transition Assessment.

✽ CLARIFY your values with the North Star Values Exercise.

✽ PLAN each step with the Next Steps: Action Plan—so nothing is left to chance.

✽ SUPPORT your mental health with W-PMAD Screenings.

✽ And, of course, I’ll be available to you in between sessions via email to answer questions and provide ongoing support.

Choose Your Own “OOO” Adventure

As a Certified RETAIN Parental Leave Coach (a certification developed by the Center for Parental Leave Leadership), I’ve been trained in an evidence-based coaching model that supports working parents before, during, and after their leave. The RETAIN model ensures that you feel engaged, supported, and fully prepared for every phase of your transition.

Here’s exactly what that looks like in practice:

  • We’ll connect online or meet in my office for 1:1 coaching sessions where we’ll talk about your unique situation. We won’t just be talking through logistics– I’ll be there to offer emotional support throughout this transitional phase, too! This isn’t about simply checking off tasks or creating a schedule—it’s about feeling confident, calm, and connected on all fronts.

  • This is a key part of the RETAIN model and helps ensure we address any gaps that could impact your transition, whether those are related to work or home life. The assessment will help us identify areas where you may need to adjust your expectations, tap into extra resources, or plan for the unexpected. With what we learn in the assessment, we’ll plan a maternity leave that is tailored to you, ensuring that you have a plan that’s realistic, achievable, and sustainable.

  • I know how important it is to align your personal values with the way you structure your life—especially during big transitions like maternity leave. The North Star Values Exercise is a powerful tool that helps you clarify what truly matters to you—whether it’s spending more time bonding with your baby, staying connected with your career, or setting clear boundaries between the two. This ensures that your leave isn’t just practical, but also meaningful.

  • Your Next Steps: Action Plan is a detailed outline of everything you’ll need to know before, during, and after your maternity leave. It will include:

    • How to communicate with your employer and colleagues about your leave.

    • Strategies to ensure your work is covered while you’re away, so you can step away without stress.

    • A timeline for returning to work that allows you to transition back smoothly and confidently.

  • As a perinatal therapist, I specialize in working with moms who experience perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), which can come up during pregnancy or postpartum. I understand how critical it is to support your mental health during this transition, which is why I offer W-PMAD Screenings as part of this service. We’ll check in on your mental well-being, and make sure that you have the resources and support you’ll need to navigate any challenges. If needed, I can provide additional guidance and referrals to ensure you’re taking care of yourself.

  • I get it! Life happens in between our sessions, and you may have questions as things come up. Whether you’re unsure about a specific step in your plan or just need reassurance, you’ll have direct access to me via email for support between sessions.

Out of Office isn’t just about a black-and-white plan out bullet point to-do list. It’s about supporting your wellbeing, your career, and your transition into motherhood.

This Trip is Worth. Every. Penny.

(and then some.)

I get it, though– investing in a service like this definitely isn’t a small decision. You probably have a few questions, like ‘Is this worth the price?’ or ‘Will this fit into my already busy schedule?’

Totally valid questions. Let’s talk it out, because I really do think that Out of Office is worth every penny and every minute.

Frequent (totally normal) Concerns

01 / How will my leave affect my career?

You’ve worked hard to get where you are! The thought of stepping away from work, even temporarily, can be nerve-wracking. It’s sooo common for women to worry about being overlooked for promotions, losing traction on important projects, or being left out of larger conversations while they’re away on maternity leave.

Why it’s valid:
We live in a culture that often sees time away from work as a potential setback. The truth is, though, maternity leave is such a critical time for you and your baby—and you shouldn’t have to choose between progressing your career and growing your family.

How Out of Office helps:
As part of your one-on-one support in Out of Office, we’ll create a customized Next Steps Action Plan that ensures that you remain connected while out on leave and return to work prepared. We’ll plan for every detail, including how to transition your responsibilities, stay in touch with your team (if desired), and ensure a smooth return to work when the time comes.

That way, when you’re ready to step back into your role, you’ll feel confident that nothing important has slipped through the cracks, and you can walk back into the office stress-free.

02 / What if I’m not ready when the time comes?

Many moms feel like they’re rushing to prepare everything for maternity leave—and the closer it gets, the more unprepared they feel. As you juggle work deadlines, doctor’s appointments, and prep to bring home your baby, maternity leave planning often feels like something that will “work itself out” later.

Why it’s valid:
Maternity leave is a complex process, and without proper planning, it’s easy to feel unprepared. Not having a clear plan can lead to last-minute stress and uncertainty, leaving you feeling more anxious than excited about what’s to come.

How Out of Office helps:
We’ll plan out every aspect of your leave—before you actually step away from work. A Parental Leave Transition Assessment helps us pinpoint exactly what needs attention, and the North Star Values Exercise ensures that your plan aligns with what’s most important to you, both professionally and personally.

With a clear roadmap in place, you’ll feel fully prepared when your maternity leave arrives, and confident that every detail has been taken care of. No scrambling, no guessing—just peace of mind.

03 / How do I even begin to plan for this?

Maternity leave planning can feel like one big, looming question mark. From understanding your employer’s policies to planning how you’ll re-integrate into work afterward, it’s hard to know where to start. It’s not just about the time away—it’s about how you’ll transition back, both logistically and emotionally.

Why it’s valid:
Let’s be real—maternity leave is not a “break” from work. It’s a major life transition that involves your career, family, mental health, and identity. Without a solid plan, it can feel impossible to juggle everything.

How Out of Office helps:
Not only do we map out your leave, but we also focus on your successful return. In our 1:1 coaching sessions, we’ll prepare you for every stage of the process—from before, during, and after your leave.

I’ll be there to support you with a series of screenings that will ensure your mental health remains a priority and is tended to in a way that works best for you, and you’ll be able to reach me through email support between sessions so you can ask any questions as they come up.

The Bottom Line:
You Deserve to Feel Supported and Prepared

“Becoming a mother leaves no woman as it found her. It unravels her and rebuilds her. It cracks her open, takes her to her edges. It’s both beautiful and brutal; often at the same time.”
