This is what you’ve been waiting for.
So, your baby is coming home from the NICU. This monumental day marks a shift for your family and for you as a parent. It starts a new chapter. AND it also brings on a new set of challenges and maybe some unexpected emotions, too.
When deciding to make this course I felt the need to create two parts, because the NICU experience feels split. The first experience, covered in part one, is more focused on supporting you through your baby’s time in the NICU. The other experience, what we’re talking about in this part of the course, is focused on life after your NICU discharge.
Because the end of a NICU stay isn’t just a finish line, it’s also the starting line for parenting your baby at home.
Bringing Your Baby Home from the NICU
Adjusting to life after the NICU can be difficult - your mind and your body may need time and help to reorient and reset after the intensely stressful experience you’ve just been through. There’s no switch that just turns that off as soon as you get home. Andnow you’re completely responsible for caring for this tiny baby. It’s both super exciting and super intimidating.
In this course, you'll discover:
How to recognize and navigate through common feelings that come along with the relief and celebration of getting to take your baby home
Important lessons and reminders about bonding and attachment with your baby
Ways to connect with your baby, your partner, yourself, and your community now that you’re home

Lesson 3: Moving Forward with Connection
We are not meant to go through life alone, and we are CERTAINLY not meant to go through hard times alone. Connecting with others, especially other parents who ALSO know about the emotional ups and downs of a NICU stay is so powerful.

MOLLY
Hi I’m Molly Vasa Bertolucci. I’m a licensed clinical social worker in California and a NICU mom myself.
I help people get through challenges in postpartum and early parenting. I became a therapist because I believe strongly in the healing that comes from allowing ourselves to feel and share our stories, and helping people tell their stories has brought me so much inspiration and optimism. When I am not doing therapy, you can find me squeezing in a stroller run with my two kids or splurging on fresh flowers and an iced latte. I hope you find this course on parenting through a NICU stay supportive and helpful, as I have helped countless others on their journey to feeling connected, calm, and confident as parents.
